Scott Mednick ~ Executive Producer
KSS PRODUCTIONS, LLC is proud to add SCOTT MEDNICK as Executive Producer. Scott Mednick is a widely respected entertainment, media and technology executive, consultant, speaker and author. Mr. Mednick is known for his vision and ability to create new business models. He was a pioneer in creating one of the first private equity-backed motion picture studios, one of the first boutique advertising and marketing companies, one of the first Internet marketing companies and one of the first branded entertainment companies. Mr. Mednick is both well known, admired and respected for his creative abilities producing motion pictures, television commercials, television programming and short-and long-form videos. He has participated in over 20 mergers, acquisitions and divestitures and helped raise over $900 million in investment capital for both public and private companies focused primarily on entertainment, marketing and technology. In 2004, Mr. Mednick co-founded Legendary Pictures. Legendary's unique partnership brought together $500 million dollars from private equity and created a 25-picture deal with Warner Bros. to create an active production and finance entity. The initial deal included Legendary Pictures, partnering with Warner Bros. to fund Batman Begins, Batman: The Dark Night, The Dark Night Rises. Mr. Mednick has served as Executive Producer of such motion pictures as Superman Returns, We are Marshalls, The Ant Bully, U2 3D, 10,000 BC, 300, and Where the Wild Things Are. In 2010 he produced the independent feature Faces in the Crowd starring Mila Jovovich and, in 2011, Beneath the Darkness starring Dennis Quaid. He is currently producing the motion picture version of the enormously popular television series Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for Paramount Pictures. In 2013, Mr. Mednick is scheduled to produce the motion picture adaptation of the American Gladiators. Movies for which Mr. Mednick has been a part of the producing team have grossed more than $1.6B at the box office. He is also working with Steven Spielberg and Dreamworks where he has come on board as Executive Producer on Starbuck. Mr. Mednick's other major accomplishments include his tenure as Founder, Chairman and CEO of THINK New Ideas from inception through its IPO. Mr. Mednick also created THINK, one of the first interactive marketing companies to service the needs of major corporations such as Oracle, Coca Cola, Reebok, Sega, Time Warner, Sony, Pioneer Electronics, Disney, Chrysler, CBS and others. Under Mr. Mednick's leadership, THINK was named as one of the top ten interactive agencies of the year by Adweek and the Advertising Club of New York.
Daniel Hank ~ Line & Supervising Producer
KSS PRODUCTIONS, LLC extends a welcome to DANIEL HANK, Line/Supervising Producer. Born and raised in New York City, Hank put himself through college and earned a BA from Stony Brook University in 1985. While there, he acquired an early appreciation for the production of many forms of entertainment, by producing live concerts for such diverse recording artists as Cyndi Lauper, Stray Cats and Dizzy Gillespie, as well as running the university film program which exhibited over 150 films per year. Daniel got started in film production as a location assistant and scout working on such noted features as Coming to America, Scrooged, Jacobs Ladder and Sidney Lumet's Q&A. Soon after, he was assistant location manager on the first season of the hit NBC drama, Law & Order when several LA based TV series needed scenes filmed in New York, they called Hank, first as a location manager and then as a unit production manager. These included such hit shows as Friends (Warner Bros. Television) and The Nanny (Tri-Star Television). He continued his work on features on such pictures as New Line's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II, Jackie Chan's Rumble In The Bronx, the Wesley Snipes action film The Art of War, and the critically acclaimed feature Narc, starring Ray Liotta and Jason Patrick. A member of the Directors Guild of America since 1994, he was the unit production manager on Hearst Entertainment's My Breast, the first movie directed by Betty Thomas. His credits include several television movies for Showtime such as Naked City, A Killer Christmas (directed by Peter Bogdanovich) and the award winning Execution of Justice, directed by Leon Ichaso. Hank is the only producer to film at both CIA Headquarters (for the thriller In the Company of Spies directed by Tim Matheson) and at FBI Headquarters (for the Norman Mailer miniseries Master Spy for CBS, starring William Hurt). Hank produced the acclaimed TV movie Oil Storm that filmed in 8 different cities across the country and the Eric Schaeffer comedy series Starved, both for the FX Network. He also produced the first High Definition 3-D horror feature, Scar 3D, which had a record breaking release throughout Europe. Additionally, his film credits include Diane English's The Women starring Annette Benning, In the Loop starring James Gandolfini, and Loving Leah, a movie for Hallmark Hall of Fame starring Lauren Ambrose. Recently, Hank produced a comedy series for Starz called 'Gravity'starring Ving Rhames, Rachael Hunter and Krysten Ritter. Last year he produced the children's film Beethoven's Christmas Adventure for Universal, and Gun Hill, an action adventure for BET. He also worked on the Fox comedy series' Don't Trust the B in Apartment 23 and Glee. Over the years, he has utilized his feature production experience on television commercials for companies like Screen Gems and Original Film. Presently, Hank produces several commercial a year for a variety of companies, including his own. In 1995, he started Echelon Productions, Inc., a production service company that has also hosted dozens of International Productions from all over the world, filming across the USA. He's filmed in most of the 50 states as well as the Caribbean, Canada, France, Spain, Switzerland, Panama and Hong Kong. He won a Clio Award for producing commercials and has been featured in several industry publications as well as being quoted multiple times in The Wall Street Journal. He has been a guest lecturer at Boston University, Emerson College, Syracuse University and New York University and was elected 10 times to the Directors Guild of America, Eastern Council. Additionally, he has done production consulting for a number of companies including IFC, Lionsgate, and HBO. He is frequently called to provide guidance on location city selection based on production incentive analysis and budget considerations. Hank still lives in New York City, with his wife Rebecca and their three children Justin, Kelsey and Jordan. He enjoys traveling, scuba diving, skydiving, photography and of course watching lots of movies and television.
Dana Offenbach ~ Producer
Dana Offenbach is an award winning Producer. Her films have won Best Narrative Feature, Best Screenplay, Best of Festival, World Premiere Honors, and an NAACP Nomination for Outstanding Independent Feature. Dana has had a long and varied journey, and her credits include feature films, TV, shorts, television commercials, awards show segments, public service announcements, interstitial programming, documentaries and music videos. She was President of Production at Nehst Studios and has previously held Director of Broadcast Business Affairs and Director of Broadcast Production positions at major advertising agencies. In 2011 she opened her own indie production company CinemaStreet Pictures, LLC with a slate of films. The company’s first film, Julius Onah’s THE GIRL IS IN TROUBLE is currently being repped for Worldwide Sales by William Morris Endeavor and Preferred Content. Cinema Street also produced the Darnaa music videos with Brendan Bellomo (Viz Efx – BEASTS OF THE SOUTHERN WILD) directing. Financing has recently been secured for Christopher Scott Cherot’s deeply moving ORIGINAL PROVISIONALS and the company has a small slate of films that take up much of Dana’s time. In 2009/2010 Dana independently produced and distributed in a groundbreaking partnership with AMC Theaters, Qasim Basir’s MOOZ-lum, starring Danny Glover, Evan Ross, Nia Long, Roger Guinevere Smith and Dorian Missick. She + Qasim secured independent theatrical distribution in Canada, the UK, Dubai, and Kuwait, as well as DVD, television and digital distribution. In 2006 Dana spent 3 months in India producing "The Memsahib," an 1850's period feature. She produced “Running America” and “Dribble, Kick, Throw” (TV Pilot) for Nehst, and production managed the second season of “Five Ingredient Fix” for the Food Network. Prior to that, Dana co-produced the indie hit "Hav Plenty" which was sold at the Toronto Film Festival to Miramax, and premiered at Sundance in 1998. In 1999, she produced her second independent feature titled "Box Marley" for writer/director Christopher Scott Cherot. Offenbach wrote, produced, and directed "Love & Orgasms" which won World premiere Honors at the 2003 Ft. Lauderdale International Film Festival, and screened in several festivals both domestically and internationally. In 2004 Dana teamed once again with Christopher Cherot on “Andre Royo’s Big Scene.” In 2005 she line produced Trudie Styler’s first short film “Wait” for Moxy Pictures. Dana has produced in India, Brazil, Ireland and South Africa. Her numerous awards show segments have included Christine Vachon, Spike Lee, Morgan Freeman, Gena Rowlands, Candace Bergen, Ruby Dee, Halle Berry, Mira Nair, and many more. Dana has lectured to the Graduate Program at City College and Yonkers Middle School. She has appeared on several panels, most notably Navigating the Film Festival Circuit, Women Breaking Barriers at the Apollo Theater, The Social Experience of Media for Women In Media, Film Financing for New York Women In Film & Television, the Aspiring Filmmakers Bootcamp, the National Producer's Conference, The Coalition of Asian Pacific Entertainers, The Black Documentary Collective, Hysterical Festival (women comedy writers), Jim Arnoff's "Pitching with Conviction: Become a Master" interactive workshop and the Film Financing panel for NY Women In Film & Television.
Charles Morris Jr. ~ Writer KSS Productions, LLC
Charles brings a fresh perspective to all he does and he is both innovative and extremely creative always bringing his best to everything that he undertakes. Morris collaborated on a TV series pilot entitled Band Moms, about the chaos and dysfunction amongst kids in a high school marching band and the wacky "stage parents" running their booster club. Charles has written and produced two feature films: Deadly Outbreak, about an ex-marine foiling a bio-chemical plot against Israel, starring Ron Silver and Jeff Speakman, and Underground, a horror film about young adults stumbling upon a deadly experiment gone awry in an underground military bunker, starring Ross Thomas. That film is currently getting distribution. This vibrant writing team has another feature film currently in pre-production, Offsides, which is an exhilarating drama-thriller about an illegal street football organization ran by the Italian mafia. An A-list cast is attached with a scheduled target shoot date of July 2011
Adam Walker ~ Actor
KSS PRODUCTIONS, LLC is please to welcome ADAM WALKER. Adam is the son of two entertainment industry professionals. His father, formerly a Business Affairs executive for CBS Television, ICM, Pearson Television and the Disney Cable Networks Group, is now a private practice entertainment attorney and consultant. His mother was an actress, singer and Emmy-nominated makeup artist for daytime dramas. Adam began his acting career at age 11 and starred in a number of Equity Waiver plays at the Civic Arts Plaza in Thousand Oaks, CA. including "A Christmas Carol," "Much Ado about Nothing," "Henry the V" and "Macbeth." His experience on stage eventually inspired him to pursue his aspirations as a film and television actor. At 19 he starred in an award-winning web series and several critically acclaimed short films including "Gentleman's Game." He also recently starred in "Destruction: Las Vegas," a made-for-cable movie scheduled to air on the Syfy Channel and Starz in March 2013, whose cast includes Barry Bostwick, Frankie Muniz, Andrew Lawrence and Michael Steger. Industry insiders agree Adam is a fast-rising star with wide-ranging talents that complement his charm and good looks.
